Facilities at Indus Global School
DIGITAL CLASSES:
Such classes are designed to help teachers deliver high quality instruction, with an effective blend of classroom activities and interactive multimedia demonstrations. It Offers lesson plans designed by the teachers themselves to aid effective teaching. This provides effective, short-duration multimedia elements that help students visualize complex concepts . It also Offers worksheets power point presentations etc. to promote critical and creative thinking . It enables efficient use of teacher time through interactive teacher tools . Students are actively engaged with learning and conceptual understanding rather than rote learning and are able to apply learning to real life.
SEPARATE LABORATORIES FOR TEACHING BIOLOGY, PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY :
Science is different from any other subject that a student takes up in school. This is because the knowledge that one attains in classrooms and through books is unimpressive without understanding and learning the methods and processes behind the same. We at Indus are providing well equipped separate laboratories, which allows students to utilize the data gathered from the books, as well from the material world and helps them in developing pragmatic logic and rationale. Students are made to use the various tools and experiments with different techniques to improve their overall science literacy. Besides offering the hands-on experience, we also teach the students how to make a scientific argument by conducting experiments, reviewing them closely, developing logical reasoning, and responding accordingly, that help in preparing the next generation of scientists, engineers, and medical professionals etc.
COMPUTER LABORATORIES:
The computer labs play an important role in the school’s effort to educate students to be visually, verbally, and technologically accomplished. Indus Global’s curriculum strives to establish a balance between teaching students the technical skills needed to generate complex visual work, while enabling them to visualize the creative possibilities of the computer as an artistic medium too. Here in Our school there are two computer labs having 70 computers in total; one having 35 computers for Ananda section exclusively and the other having again 35 systems for Jigyasa & Sadhana. The labs are fully furnished with the latest systems such as WI-FI and broad band connection directly from the satellite.
SOCIAL STUDIES LAB:
This is the latest inclusion in the infrastructure of the Indus. Social Studies is a very vast subject in itself. In order to create interest in the subject Indus has tried to give its best to its students by converting social Studies into Social Science giving it a practical / activity based shape & experience to its pupils , so that they enjoy the subject to its highest level without feeling the boredom.
LIBRARY:
A Library contributes immensely in developing the educational scenario of a school. It holds an important position in facilitating the students as well as the Mentors. The students as well as the teachers have the facility of borrowing the various books besides accessing in the reading room. We have huge collection of nearly 5000 books and periodicals etc. including Science, Maths, Fantasy, Health and Fitness, fiction, non-fiction, novels as well as magazines.
MATHS LAB:
Mathematics Laboratory is a place in our school where students can learn and explore mathematical concepts and verify mathematical facts and theorems through a variety of activities using different materials. These activities are carried out for the student to explore, to learn, to stimulate interest and develop favourable attitude towards Mathematics. The Maths Lab consists of more than 100 models in various branches of Maths like Algebra, Geometry, and Arithmetic which are of great help to students.
MUSIC ROOM:
The arts enrich all of our lives! Here at the Music Room we provide a nurturing environment for children to engage in the finest performing arts education. Students are provided with the opportunities to learn the various instruments such as Guitar, Harmonium, Congo, Tabla, Key Board etc. as well as they are also being trained in Vocal music. Our staff is composed of experienced educators and professional performers, who provide our students with the very best in technical training and performance opportunities.
AUDITORIUM HALL:
At the ground floor we have a huge Auditorium hall which can accommodate around 1200 people at a time. It has been furnished with the latest gadgets including the disco lights, projectors with a huge screen attached with the mixer, computer and the music system. Assemblies, functions etc. are mostly conducted in this hall.
AV ROOM:
Separate facility is being provided for playing ACD’S, VCD’S including downloaded videos and presentations etc. so that students are supplemented with exposure to the latest information & knowledge. QUAGAURD & WATER COOLERS: Children are provided with safe drinking water by connecting it to the aqua guard. In summers particularly the children are provided with cold water facility through water coolers. Which are serviced regularly from time to time.
SCHOOL PLANNER:
In the beginning of every session the school gives its school planner to every student which includes the information about all the activities, visits, Monday test schedule and the holiday list for the session so that the parents as well as the students are made aware and they can plan accordingly.
ACADEMIC PLANNER:
Indus believes that planning the things properly is the key to success as well as to make the teaching-learning process effective . It is not only a belief but it is implemented as the Mentors are required to submit their academic planner in the beginning of every session which includes month wise planning of the syllabus, visits and the practicals /activities to be undertaken. At the end of every month they are required to submit the monthly report of the status.
SPECIAL CLASSES FOR THE WEAK STUDENTS:
Indus is working for its students . So the students who are weak in studies are provided free ‘remedial coaching’ classes regularly. Examinations are conducted in September and March to gauge the level of understanding of the students. We believe that this is a continuous process for uplifting the educational level of such students of the school.
SPECIAL CLASSES FOR MERITORIOUS STUDENTS:
To nurture its bright students; Indus is providing special supplementary classes for them to draw out the maximum caliber from such students.
STUDENT’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION:
Every child is special for us and Birthday is a special day for everyone. So to make this day more special, the Birthdays are celebrated in the school by lighting a Diya and calling the parents to the school. Praying together for a happy, healthy life the peers of the Birthday baby wish him/her by making and presenting a card.
COUNSELLING:
In Indus the students are counseled from time to time where in the aim is to help the students to change specific aspects of their feeling, thinking and acting for effective living and personal responsibility. Counseling provides a safe place, separate from the daily life, where students can explore issues or feelings which are causing them difficulty; mostly the teens. The counselor aim to relate to the counselee in a supportive and purposeful manner and assist him/her in the task of finding his/her own way forward. It offers a confidential space, understanding, a feeling of being listened to, valued and accepted in a non-judgmental way. This helps in all round development of the students.
MORNING ASSEMBLY:
It is conducted class wise; giving chance to every student and every class to come up to the stage. Firstly, warm up exercises are done then Gayatri mantra is enchanted . After which different prayers either in Hindi or English are sung. Students take the pledge and then they are made aware of the latest news, . At last the students recite the National Anthem with vigour and enthusiasm. Various days are allotted for thematic assemblies such as yoga & meditation, music assembly etc.
SCHOOL RESULT:
Indus has given its first class X board result with 100% pass percentage.

SKATING RINK :
Indus has added one more feather in its cap in the year 2013 by pioneering in starting the skating . Which will definitely help in improving the gymnastic skills, flexibility and concentration among its students.
FIRE SAFETY:
We care for our students which is visible at every step. We have proper fire safety equipments with which we will be able to cope up with any drastic situation.
BUS FACILITIES:
Indus has ten buses of its own; providing comfortable conveyance facilities for its pupils as well as mentors with a lady matron in each along with the driver .
SPIRITUAL EDUCATION:
In Our school, the students are provided with spiritual education which is focused on inclusion of developing good citizens, building of the character and the moral or immoral decisions. The students are taught a practical process of leading a more effective life by doing the right things. Indus believes that it is the kind of learning beyond memorization .It is the crux of lifelong learning and application.
YOGA AND MEDITATION:
It is the foremost requirement of every individual these days. The students of our school are provided with this facility free of cost so that they become optimistic, more focused and agile.
HOUSE SYSYEM:
Sadhana & Jigyasa sections i.e. classes III to X are divided into four houses: Aakash, Agni, Prithvi and Pawan designating most important elements of the universe. This system inculcates the team spirit, feeling of belongingness as well as helps in developing collaborative skills and a healthy competition among the pupils.
NATURE WALK:
Frequently, the children are taken for a nature walk so that they feel the bond between humans and Mother Nature. So that they realize the important of plants and other living beings and be kind towards everyone as well as nature is the best teacher which teaches the students the realities of life.
EDUCATIONAL TRIPS:
To give the students hands on practical experience the students are frequently taken for educational trips to various places such as bank, post office, vegetable market, hydro electric power plant, hand loom industry etc.
PLAY AREA:
Students in their childhood should enjoy coming to the school, as it is known that kiddies like the swings very much. Knowing this, Indus is providing them with a number of different rides and swings in a separate play area where the children love to play and enjoy in the vigilance of the teachers and the helpers.
ANNUAL FUNCTION:
Every year “INDOSTSAV” is celebrated with fun and frolic where all the students participate in the various items. Where Special Chief Guest, invitees and dignitaries are invited along with the parents. It is really a scintillating show every time put forward by Idusians .
